Role Responsibility As one of our domiciliary carers, you’ll care and support our client’s customers in their own home in a variety of ways, based on their individual circumstances. You’ll provide companionship and personal care, oversee medication and be involved with meal preparation, shopping and light domestic duties.

Responsibilities and Duties
• Supporting clients with personal care such as washing, bathing, dressing, toileting and grooming.
• Ability to use moving and handling equipment such as hoists.
• Assisting clients by serving food and feeding at meal times.
• Senior Carers will be expected to administer medication.
• Cleaning duties including ironing, hoovering and laundry will be required especially on nights.
• Organizing and facilitating activities.
• Occasionally liaising with external agencies
Qualifications and Skills
Experience is not essential as we provide full training however, to be successful you must:

To maintain an up to date Palliative & Supportive Care Register which identifies patients who are at the end of life

Tissue Viability

Understand Medicine Management 

  • To allocate calls to carers ensuring continuity at all
  • To ensure that immediate/emergency calls are covered
  • To plan and organise future cover up to
  • Responsible for carer holiday calendar, authorisation and cover
  • To plan and organise coaching & shadowing for new recruits
  • To conduct interviews for new recruits
  • To plan in conducting supervisions when necessary
  • To plan customer visits as and when required
  • Liaise with Recruitment to ensure they are aware of staffing requirements
  • All carer and customers user records to be kept live and accurate on Care database 
  • To act as a line of defence in disaster scenarios
