Role Responsibility As one of our domiciliary carers, you’ll care and support our client's customers in their own home in a variety of ways, based on their individual circumstances. You’ll provide companionship and personal care, oversee medication and be involved with meal preparation, shopping and light domestic duties.

You’ll get to know the people you’re caring for and understand exactly what they want and need, helping them achieve things that they wouldn’t be able to do by themselves, allowing them to live independently. By listening and understanding, you’ll treat all our customers with dignity, patience and compassion, developing relationships based on trust and reassurance.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Supporting clients with personal care such as washing, bathing, dressing, toileting and grooming.

• Ability to use moving and handling equipment such as hoists.

• Assisting clients by serving food and feeding at meal times.

• Senior Carers will be expected to administer medication.

• Cleaning duties including ironing, hoovering and laundry will be required especially on nights.

• Organizing and facilitating activities.

• Occasionally liaising with external agencies

Qualifications and Skills

Experience is not essential as we provide full training however, to be successful you must:

• Be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS disclosure

• Provide evidence to confirm your right to work in the UK

• Be flexible to work mornings, evenings and weekends

URGENT REQUIREMENT FOR CARE COORDINATORS TO WORK IN LEEDS

If so, we are currently on the look out to recruit our next Care Coordinator to join our ever-growing office team Monday to Friday, working a mixture of early, late and day shifts. This opportunity is the perfect chance for someone looking to make a difference to other Carers like themselves to help us in our mission to make the work place better for them.

MUST have office-based experience

Within this role you will have the consistency and the responsibility to really make a difference and influence our existing team of excellent Home Carers.

Responsibilities and Duties

Within this role you will be working in a varied and fast paced environment. You will be given the opportunity to learn and work your way to becoming a valued member of the team. You will be responsible for:

Rostering care calls
Supervising your care staff
Bringing on new care packages

You will also be involved in:

Recruitment and selection
Training of new care staff

This role will also include on-call support on week nights and weekends and will be shared with the other Coordinators in the team (the office is manned 24 hours a day so the on-call support is to provide assistance to the late and weekend office staff when needed).

There is also compliance and quality aspect of this role and you will be required to act on behalf of our service users.

Qualifications and Skills

Requirements

The ideal candidate to take on this role is:

Someone with previous experience working within homecare supporting elderly service users.
Someone who has basic computer skills.
Someone who has either completed their Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or has the willingness to work towards this.

The person carrying out this role will need to be:

Resilient within this demanding role.
Have the ability to multitask.
Must have a positive approach.
Have great communication skills.
